Dance. Dance. Dance.

I joined Ashley Lobo's dance classes sometime back. It is not the usual beginner-level class. Instead it is a workshop. So there is a particular jazz choreography that a group practises and learns for a month and then there is a stage performance. Yay!

We have two great instructors and it is great great fun. I have learnt dancing before, kathak as a child and salsa more recently but none of those were as exhilarating as this class. It is extremely difficult too. I used to think I could shake a leg but now I realize I am nowhere close! Even the exercise routine is enjoyable in this class. They try to teach you to use every part of the body. My muscles still ache after each class. I have started practising regularly nowadays so that my body gets accustomed to it.

Today I did about 30 mins of exercise/warm-up followed up some steps practice. I realized I have forgotten about a quarter of the new stuff we were taught yesterday!

I will join the regular classes after the workshop! Yipee!!!
